Pick a provider — the price and fixed fees fill in on their own

Adding an electricity or gas meter no longer means hunting down the price per kWh or m³ yourself and copying every fixed fee off your contract one by one. Just pick a provider and tariff from a built-in catalog — the price per unit and its fixed fees fill in on their own. It's part of Estate Pigeon's broader tenant utility billing tools, built to help rental property owners manage electricity, water and gas meters without a spreadsheet.

Real providers, real rates

The catalog covers Poland's largest electricity providers — PGE Obrót, Tauron, Enea, Energa, and E.ON — plus gas providers PGE Obrót, Tauron, Energa, Fortum, and myORLEN (formerly PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny). Prices and fixed fees come from these providers' and their distributors' official tariffs in effect for 2026 — they're example rates, always worth checking against your own contract, but a much better starting point than typing everything in from scratch.

Two-zone tariffs on a single meter

If your meter bills day and night usage separately (like a G12 or G12w tariff), picking that tariff automatically turns on a second, night reading on the same meter — no need to set up two separate meters. Just enter the night register's starting value, and from then on every reading covers both registers at once.

The date a reading was actually taken

While we were at it, we also added a way to record the date a meter's starting value was actually read — handy when you're adding a meter to the app some time after you actually noted its reading. The first billing period is then calculated from that date, not from the day you added the meter to the app.

You can always change the price, unit, and fixed fees later by editing the meter — the catalog is just a convenient starting point. It makes billing tenants for electricity, gas and water faster and less error-prone, whether you manage a single rental or a whole portfolio of properties.
